Jou Tatenaga

Jou is a 20-year-old university student who works at the Kawafuji Art Gallery. Kirie often asks her opinion on mounting exhibits, as Jou has a great eye for combining patterns and colors in a way that compliments the calligraphy of the artists whose works are displayed at the gallery. She is very shy and has a tendency to overwork herself rather than refuse the many tasks that Kirie heaps upon her. Kirie calls her "Ojou", "as befits a proper young lady". [Spoiler] Jou is the granddaughter of the director whom Seishuu punches at the start of the story. When they meet in person for the first time, Seishuu doesn't recognize her as the woman from the marriage proposal photo, as Jou had lost a lot of weight in the year that had passed since then; Naru, however, does seem to recognize her.
