Sotoo is an obscure school boy who presents signs of sociopathic behavior. In the first volume, he commits a number of acts that present anti-scoial behavior such as arson, mutilation of small animals and necrophilia. Gathering newspaper clipping of his crimes, he complies a journal of his acts and titles it, The Laughing Vampire. [Spoiler] Sotoo feels the need to extend on his ill manners in hopes of reaching a certain euphoric state and to achieve it; he intends to commit murder. Luring Luna into an abandoned hotel, he strangles her until she's presumed dead and tries to drink her blood. [/Spoiler] [Spoiler] Sometime later, after running away from home, he is murder by Konosuke after an altercation. Sotoo gets caught underwater by vines and drowns to death. [/Spoiler]
