ゆきのこ

Yukinoko is a white cat that, despite being six years of age, never appears to grow and remains very small. He has the ability to travel through the Louvre's paintings and enter the worlds within them. He is seen as an outcast by the other cats and frequently wanders the halls of the museum to admire the paintings. Feeling as though he doesn't belong anywhere in the world, Yukinoko is frequently melancholic and spends a lot of his time sleeping He is named Snowbébé in the English-language version of the manga by Viz Media. [Spoiler] Yukinoko is able to find Marcel's long-lost sister Arietta inside a Henri Lerambert painting titled 'The Funeral Procession of Love.' The two spend a month together inside the painting, playing and dancing all the while. Wishing he could share the fun with his friends, Yukinoko eventually decides to leave the painting and return to the real world. He offers to take Arietta with him, but she refuses, telling Yukinoko that she is happy to remain where she is. Upon returning to the real world, Yukinoko forgets all about the paintings and loses his ability to communicate and travel within them.
